Paul McCartney once said that people were tired of silly love songs… Well, Cosmic Wacho has decided to ignore that and dive into the heart of 70s soft pop and 80s yacht rock with their new single: “PERDER EL TIEMPO” (“Wasting Time”). Inspired by the luxury and exclusive charm of the Costa del Sol, Cosmic Wacho fuses analog synthesizers, catchy melodies, smooth guitars, and rhythms influenced by Wings and Steely Dan. With careful production work, the track, which has been mastered by Mario G. Alberni at Kadifornia, navigates between nostalgia and sophistication. This new musical offering reflects an evolution in the duo’s sound, exploring a more elegant and mature style already hinted at in their previous single “Room Service.”

As a highlight, “Perder el Tiempo” features a saxophone solo that evokes the iconic sonic aesthetic of the 80s. Hit play and join the fascinating new journey of Cosmic Wacho. Don’t let anyone tell you that listening to great songs is “wasting time.”

Cosmic Wacho: From the Costa del Sol, a New Wave of Sounds

Cosmic Wacho is a Spanish-Argentine duo that bridges Latin rhythms and urban avant-garde. Formed in 2020 in Estepona on the Costa del Sol by Kinky Lover (Spain) and Franco Felici (Argentina), their sound fuses cumbia, pop, funk, disco, and 80s echoes, with influences ranging from Bomba Estéreo and Cupido to Gorillaz and Wham!. Their album Lo que dicen por ahí (2024) was warmly received in Spain, Mexico, and Colombia, where they made their live debut last year.

Their music not only conquers stages but also screens: their song Sabe a tu nombre is featured in the Netflix series Bandidos, alongside artists like Kali Uchis, Jungle, and Kasabian. Cosmic Wacho has collaborated with Hit La Rosa, Pahua, Tufic, and Caro Raro, artists with whom they’ve written several tracks. Thanks to the AIEnRUTa-Artistas program, the duo has already toured all over Spain.

Cosmic Wacho Continues Their 2025 Tour

Cosmic Wacho keeps their live sonic journey going at full speed. After winning over ears and hearts at Fun Club in Seville, La Fábrica Cerveza Victoria in Málaga, and Ubu Live in Burgos this year, their visionary and cosmic proposal will take over venues and festivals across Spain in the coming months, both as a duo and with a full band. For now, these are the upcoming announced dates: April 5 at Gijón Sound Festival (Gijón) and September 27 at La Térmica Village (Ronda, Málaga).
