The Spanish-Argentine duo presents ‘Maradona y Caniggia’, a song of love and rebellion inspired by the iconic image of Maradona and Caniggia.

There are those who hide what they feel and those who understand that stories are not always signed by the winners, but by the brave. Cosmic Wacho belongs to the latter. In their new release, ‘Maradona y Caniggia’, the duo turns the mythical kiss between Maradona and Caniggia into a pop symbol of freedom: a gesture that transcends soccer to speak of fearless love and bonds that defy the rules.

The track, a chill reggaeton bathed in analog synths, warm guitars and organic percussion leading into a final salsa, is shaping up to be an anthem for those who dare to feel open-heartedly. A piece that condenses the essence of Cosmic Wacho: hybrid, suggestive, unexpected.

The release comes as a prelude to the end of the tour, which will take place on December 19th at Sala Villanos (Madrid), a concert already announced that will feature Caro Raro as guest artist, and that promises to be the perfect farewell to a year marked by travel, festivals and new sound stages.

Cosmic Wacho: from the Costa del Sol, a new wave of sonorities

Listening to Cosmic Wacho is like diving into a tropical sea full of bubbles that explode to the rhythm of pop, funk and cumbia: pure effervescence. Formed by Kinky Lover (Málaga) and Franco Felici (Santa Fe, Argentina), the duo makes unabashed hits that cross genres with an unabashed naturalness. With more than 100,000 monthly listeners and millions of streams on tracks like “Caramelo”, “Botecito” or “Sabe a Tu Nombre”, they have become the cover of playlists and one of the most contagious projects on the scene.

Their eponymous debut (2022) launched them on an unstoppable tour to Cala Mijas, Cooltural, Sound Isidro, Festival Gigante, Monkey Week, Conciertos de Radio 3 and the mythical A38Ship in Budapest. In 2023 they represented Andalusia at the Latin Grammy Awards, and the following year they swept the board with showcases at BIME, LAMC, La Radio Encendida and the MIN Awards.

With “Lo Que Dicen Por Ahí” (2024) they made the definitive leap: Spain, Mexico and Colombia surrendered to their mix of romanticism, groove and elegant perreo. His first Latin American tour and selection for AIE Artistas en Ruta confirmed the momentum. In 2025 they continue to add miles and creative muscle with new songs, collaborations with Tufic and Caro Raro, and a performance for the Cervantes Institute in Dakar. They have alsoshone in Sonorama, Fiestas del Pilar, 17th Ribeira Sacra, Gijón Sound or Atardeceres no Gaiás.

And while the world dances, his songs “Caramelo” and “Sabe a Tu Nombre” are already playing on Netflix series, pushing his universe towards a global projection that continues to grow.
