“Like a group of benevolent sirens, they share seductive harmonies over electronic beats, hip-hop and Andean folklore to manifest a safe haven of Venus for the divine feminine to thrive” is how US publication Rolling Stone describes the group Fémina, a project by sisters Clara and Sofía Trucco, born in the beautiful mountain town of San Martín de los Andes, in Patagonia. This duo addresses with their moving lyrics in Spanish such profound themes as human potential and gender equality. Their songs are characterized by spectacular harmonies and magical chemistry on stage, and incorporate traditional instruments and melodies from Latin America. With their unique and exciting band they have toured internationally in the United States, Australia, Brazil, Mexico and Europe, and have released three albums. Their breakthrough 2019 album Perlas & Conchas was produced by Quantic and championed in different media by Iggy Pop who also made a collaboration with the duo. After a tour throughout the American continent and occasional visits to Europe in 2023, Clara and Sofía are currently writing and composing new songs that they will soon present to the world.
