
Grenada celebrates 20 years of global music with the anniversary of Rootsound Music
Granada, March 9. The cultural promoter Rootsound Music celebrates its 20th anniversary with a special event on April 25 at the Teatro CajaGranada, consolidating the city as a meeting point for global music and new international sound fusions.
For two decades, Rootsound has worked on the dissemination of roots music, world sounds and projects that combine tradition and contemporaneity to connect artists from different countries with the Spanish public.
The event will bring together on stage artists from the Americas, Europe and North Africa, reflecting the cultural diversity that defines today’s global scene and the Rootsound agency itself. The line-up includes Natalia Doco (Argentina), Mr. ID (Morocco), Nickodemus (USA), Pahua (Mexico), Throes + The Shine (Portugal), Los 300, Cosmic Wacho, Vinila Von Bismark (DJ Set), Tony Moreno (Eskorzo) and Nestior DJ (Sonido Vegetal). .
The musical proposal will cover sound territories ranging from global electronica and Afro-Latin rhythms to Mediterranean fusions and mestizo music. It will be a day of meeting projects that dialogue between tradition and modernity.
This anniversary seeks to highlight the role of Rootsound Music and Granada within the international global music circuits and consolidates the city as a meeting place for artists, cultures and diverse audiences.
After twenty years of trajectory, Rootsound Music reaffirms its commitment to open, international programming connected to the new musical currents that are redefining the sounds of the world.
