Afrosideral continues to strengthen its presence on the international global music and organic electronic music scene with a new summer tour that will bring its live show to some of the most prominent festivals and cultural venues in Spain and Europe.
Renowned for creating immersive experiences where Yoruba spiritual tradition interacts with cutting-edge electronic music, the project has developed a unique artistic identity that connects the ritual dimension of music with the new sensibilities of the contemporary global scene.
After performing at international venues such as Bali, Ibiza, Tulum, and Paris, Afrosideral is coming to town this summer with a series of performances that reinforce its position within the world music, organic electronic, and multicultural hybrid scenes.
Beyond the concert format, each performance is conceived as a collective experience of intense sensory stimulation, where percussion, ancestral vocals, electronic soundscapes, and ceremonial elements create a space for connection between the audience and the artists.
Among the tour’s highlights are their appearances at Slap! Festival (Zaragoza), a leading event in Black music and contemporary culture; Etnosur ( Alcalá la Real), one of Europe’s most prestigious world music festivals; and Plasencia Folk, which has established itself as one of the leading festivals on the folk and roots music scene.

Afrosideral
Afrosideral is a project by Cuban artist Kumar, a musical and performance piece that fuses ancestral percussion, experimental electronic music, and Afro-Cuban spirituality into a deeply hypnotic sonic experience. With more than twenty years of artistic experience both inside and outside Cuba, Kumar—who is based in Europe—has developed his own unique style as a lyricist, producer, soundtrack composer, and digital percussionist, establishing himself as a singular figure within contemporary Afro-diasporic music.
In Afrosideral, rhythm becomes a vehicle for memory and trance. Jungle-inspired and mystical percussion interplay with hypnotic deep house keyboards, samplers, drum machines, and spectral recitations that build toward a ceremonial crescendo. This project stems from what the artist himself calls the Afrocuban Electronic Ensemble, a space where electronic music merges with the Afro-Cuban essence through rhythms and melodies inspired by the legacy of the Yoruba people. The result is music that looks to the future without severing its ties to the ancestral past.
Within his repertoire, *Filho Do Mar*, co-produced with renowned producer Nickodemus, holds a particularly significant place. The track takes listeners on a sonic journey across the Atlantic Ocean, connecting Africa with Cuba and Brazil through a narrative of migration, currents, and shared roots, where organic electronic sounds, Afro-Caribbean grooves, and spiritual storytelling create an immersive and deeply physical soundscape.
Afrosideral’s stage presence is one of its greatest distinguishing features: dynamic, artistic, cosmic, and ritualistic. Acoustic and electronic instruments coexist in a sonic ecosystem that immerses the audience in a veritable sensory jungle. Their music, influenced by hip hop, jazz, dub, and electronic music, always retains a distinct Afro-Cuban character that resonates with diverse audiences in very different settings.
Afrosideral has been part of projects and platforms such as Havana Cultura, Afrikun, Re-Nacimiento, Experience, and Electrorumbaiao, and has performed in countries such as Japan, Kenya, Sweden, France, Canada, Greece, Turkey, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Belgium, Italy, Germany, Ukraine, and the Azores. The band has performed at leading festivals such as Rototom Sunsplash, Sziget Festival, Fusion Festival, and the Montreux Jazz Festival, confirming its international reach.
Afrosideral is not just a musical project: it is a contemporary ritual experience that connects the body, memory, and the future through rhythm.
