Nidia Góngora, singer from Timbiquí, Colombia, presents her first solo album in Madrid, Barcelona and Donostia, Pacífico Maravilla. This album is a proposal that fuses diverse rhythms that take us to the place where she was born and connects us with the nightly guitar playing on the banks of the Timbiquí River, the sound of the mangroves, the melody of the marimba, the strength of her drums and voices. In Madrid he will perform on October 9 at the Fiesta de la Hispanidad, in a concert at the Puerta del Sol; on Sunday, October 12 he will perform in Barcelona. in Barcelonaon Sunday, October 12, at La Deskomunal organized by the Petronio Power platform and on October 16 at the emblematic Teatro Principal in San Sebastian. Pacífico Maravilla’ has allowed the teacher to mourn the loss of two of her brothers and a good friend, to be grateful for life and to exalt the sonorous and daily beauty of the Pacific. Throughout 11 songs, Pacífico Maravilla invites to discover, appreciate and reconnect with the land, with the deep Pacific, with the body, with the family. It is an ode to the simplicity of existence that encourages to show love in life.
This eagerly awaited project features the participation of outstanding international artists, among them Cuban singer Daymé Arocena, nominated for the Latin Grammy 2024, and renowned Costa Rican poet Shirley Campbell, whose work exalts the identity and resistance of Afro-descendant women in Latin America.
Recorded largely in Timbiquí, this album highlights the powerful voices of women from different generations, uniting traditional salves that reflect the generational shift in Pacific music. Nidia Góngora takes a leap of empowerment in the music industry; she writes, directs and co-produces every song on her first solo album.

With this new album, Nidia Góngora, who has already been nominated for a Latin Grammy, proposes a new show that premiered at the emblematic Jorge Eliécer Gaitán theater in Bogotá, for which she was joined by more than 25 outstanding musicians from southwestern Colombia, among them Harlinson Lozano (Espiral 7) and Adrián Viáfara. In the tour that brings her to Madrid, Barcelona and Donostia, singer Nidia Góngora will present ‘Pacifico Maravilla’ with a sextet format show.
More than 30 Latin Grammy
The teacher and singer Nidia Góngora is one of the most charismatic voices in Colombia, so it is not surprising that around her there is an extensive network of musicians and producers of recognized prestige. Her debut solo album is a musical event for which she has had the collaboration of national and international producers, including Jake Savona (Australia), recognized for his project Havana Meets Kingston; D’jamel Kady (Algeria), the Colombians Alexis Play and Christian Salgado, responsible for the arrangements and co-production at Bombo Records. In total, the professionals in charge of mixing (Francisco “Kiko” Castro) and mastering (Felipe Tichauer) add up to 34 Latin Grammy Awards, an excellent endorsement for this work.
